New....and confused

Evening All
I bought a volkswagon Golf 1.6ltr Driver Automatic-G Reg
I believe it to be a Mk2, But i was originally told it was a Mk1
(if you havnt already gathered i have very little knowledge of cars)
...Is anyone able to clarify?

Should be a mk2, unless youve got some reregistered car that was used abroad or something.

Anyone else out there have the same model?

needs some work doin to it, but im currently at a stand still because i cant find any scrap merchants with a similar model in.

and if you after parts, check the for sale section as there is always someone breaking one
