Why would anyone want to put Monza II's on an ED30 for goodness sake.

Like putting clogs on a Thierry Henri

Bit confused as you're all slating the monzas and yet imho they look better on the gti ed30! So much so in fact in germany etc the monza black wheel is the preferred fit for the ed30?

Each to their own, also, comments re imports quite frankly show that most people are not up to speed re block exemption, all vw's gti ed30's are built on same line and if imported to the uk same spec, I personally would rather buy an import from a german supplier to uk spec and save myself 2 grand!

Lastly, because of eu rulings the build quality and standards on the parallel import cars are exactly that of a uk dealer car. I have a friend who imports amg's and audi rs's for dealers so they can't be that bad?

I will post some pics of my new ed30 (steel grey with full kit) with monza's (silver) when I get the car end of the month.

i did initially consider getting the E30 but the alloys put me off. I would have if it came with either monza 2's or r32 alloys. Im not a big fan of those E30 alloys

We only just ordered an E30, but when we saw one in the showroom the pescaras looked far better than we expected.

I guess it depends on what statement you're looking for. The Monzas are great but very much in your face. The Pescaras are classy but a bit more er refined I guess. I'd feel more comfortable stepping out of the standard E30 if going to a business meeting (must be my age - 40!).

Mind you, I did order a white E30, so it'll still be a bit of a statement :-)
