Removing sticky stuff

I've taken off the door membrane and I'm left with loads of sealant and sticky stuff. What can I use that will remove it as WD40 type stuff and lighter fluid don't help.

I could do with help quickly so I can put new membrane on before it rains.

Don't know if you're pulling my leg, but I tried it anyway and it still won't budge.

I wasn't pulling your leg and sorry it didn't work, always works on sticky stuff left by stickers. Maybe this stuff is tougher. I think you might have to try petrol or white spirit.

Thanks people. A bit of white spirit after scaping the worst of the sticky stuff off seems to be working. I'll hopefully have it done today.

Just had my fuel lines changed and getting the brakes sorted soon enough. Lots of other stuff to do too. I also picked up enough paint to respray the car today. I've spent around £600 this month on the car but it'll be worth it once finished.

I really hate the last owner of the car. He obviously didn't give a sh*t about it. He doesn't seem to have spent much money replacing things and broke the front spoiler off the car. He replaced one of the back shocks with a gas shock and left the old original on the other side. No wonder the car was skittish. I've had the front and rear suspension replaced now anyway. The rear axle bushes are totally shot but I have brand new ones ready to go on.

Got the new membrane on today. So far no leaks. Also started to replace the foglights; got one on so far. The originals were full of water as the last idiot owner had opened them but hadn't closed them again properly.
