One thing you need to consider, is that finding a good 16V for reasonable money is a lot harder than finding a good 8V!

Thanks guys. I?ll have to have some quotes for insurance. I?m considering mk2 golf gti, 205 gti or a 106 rallye at the moment. Really want the golf as they have always been my favourite; but I think they would be more expensive compared to the 205 and especially the rallye as they are group 9. I?m only looking for a fun car, something that?s faster and handles better than the corsa.

I?d probably have up to ?2000 to spend if I went for the golf. I think id be looking for late and mint 16v that hasn?t been modified.  Would I get a good one for this amount of cash? I?m also slightly confused about the mileage of these cars. What would you say was high mileage? 140k+?

Thanks again, Dai
