coilovers for 16v

also anyone know why my windscreen wipers are for a left hand drive, do all 87 models have this ? thanks

firstly wht do you want/need coilovers?
cheap coilies are best avoided - many will tell this on here! they give a harsh ride!

if you are never going to adjust height once you have it set at the height you want then just buy springs/shocks at the hieght you want!

Eibach/konis if you have plenty £Â£Ã‚£, or eibach bilstein/boge turbo, if not!

oh and av a SEARCH!!!

i've got cheap coilys on my car, spent £220 delivered. to be brutally honest they are firm, not so firm my cd player skips on bumps, but when shooting down motorways, and dips make the ride pretty bouncy.

personally, i love the ride - even though it is quite firm, but my sisters new beetle has the same characteristics with a much more comfortable ride.

lowering a car usually induces a choppy ride anyway - i've never been in a car with a koni/fk/billy setup so i have no real comparison.

i'm based in glasgow if you want a ride-along and you can see for yourself

cheers, would be great to come along for a ride to get a feel for them but unfortunately im based down in cornwall so bit far away. i guess whenever you start playing with the suspension there will be some sort of trade off between handling and comfort, i think i could cope with a bit of bounce on the motorway if it would go round corners well at break neck speeds  besides we dont really have motorways in cornwall.
