It would have been the RIGHT choice!

P.S. This lowered candy white GTI in the pictures I just don't like. The rims are awful!    Arabs and rappers like this type of rims... total bling  no finesse whatsoever. Even stock Peskaras look 10 times more sophisticated

The black one is great! Silver Detroits is what you SHOULD have on a black GTI, PERIOD! mmm

I have to say that I don't like aftermarket rims on Golf GTIs - very very few pull it off.  However, the white GTI in the photos is one of those exceptions I think as the alloys are BBS      Although I agree they are quite shiny and 'in yer face' but hey, its BBS and its class.

I prefer Lorinser LM6. My absolute favourite silver rims. Saw them on a Benz, my goodness, mmmm

you are right, it is not allowed to go out with a bucket and a cloth on the street and do some Sunday cleaning.
I go to Best Carwash in Zurich. Nice place. Was there last saturday, and saw quite a number of -cars there, including yellow Lambo Gallardo, blacked-out and tuned Porsche Turbo, MB AMG ML63, and a coupe of Mazeratis. Quite a number of tuned cars, especially Seats.
It is a nice place, they even have a 1000-litre aquarium thru which the recirculated water for the wash runs.

And in the evening, I was strolling downtown, and my hands were getting cold, but luckily a guy pulled up in his Ferrari, so when he parked and left I was able to warm my hands over Ferrari's engine bay's ventilation holes.

Here is the address, if you ever in Zurich:

P.S. Only washed the car twice in the last 3 months, so one wash every 3500km  :nerd:
I had to wash it on Saturday because the back was getting really sh!tty, the sides were fine though.

I saw a photo of those silver Lorinzer rims on a black Golf V GTI. They looked great!
Personally, I am very very happy with my black Monzas (still keep looking at them in shop windows when I drive by  :embarassed:).

definitely a pain on the road (there is no spring travel left), plus what Robin said - it does not handle so well probably.

....That's terrible!! Does that mean you can't handwash your car!?   Drive-through carwashes are very bad for modern car paintwork   .

The backs of our Golf hatchbacks always get dirty first.
