Hello people...I am new to all this vee dub lark, I have just got a "91 8v mk2 ". I want to do a few thing & i need some help.

Is my engine a digifant

I want a loud exhust. i was thinking ashley cause the whole system is just ?168,But i never hear about them.

I want put in a mk3 interior. How do i go about this and how much is it likley to cost.

I will be very gratefull if someone can help me.

it will be digifant, look on your airbox, is there braided wires things or a black electrical box of tricks? if it is the box thing you got digi. if not then k-jet. but yours will be digi cos k-jet was on early 8v's.

Dont know about ashley exhausts, 168 bar sounds cheap, is it a full system? also get a k+n panel filter and drill your airbox for more induction howl!

Ask dizzie about a mk3 interior he has just done this so sorry i dont know cost etc

Cheers 8v..  Why drill and not go for a induction kit?Is it cost or does it have the same effect..


And the ?168 is for a full system. Manifold back i think.

coz i dont think you can get an induction kit to fit an 8v only a replacement panel which costs so people drill the box for a cheap and easy way of getting extra bhp/noise.......i maybe wrong

yeah both of you are right i couldnt find a cone anywhere, but i also wanted to keep the engine 'factory'. does just the same thing tho!
