New owner - Laser Blue GTI
« on: 30 September 2007, 13:08 »
Hi Guys - Long time lurker, first time poster!

Bagged myself a 05 GTi a few weeks ago from Wigan VW... thought I'd share it.
I believe (from reading on here) they stopped producing Laser Blue some time ago.  Wondered why I've still not seen another one on the road!

Been waiting for a break in the weather to get out and give her a bloody good Autoglym-ing, which I did yesterday.

Absolutely love the thing! Coming from a 1.6 Focus, its a bit of a change!

Hi etch, well what can i say , welcome to the elite owners club of the Lazer Blue pearl, i thought for a second it was my car(untill i noticed 2 door missing!), with the tints aswell!!!.
Hope you enjoy your new wheels, and yes coming across another lazer Blue one is rare. ive been on this website for a year, and i think your about the 5th owner to pop on here.
Heres my car..... what spec do you have in her???

Woah!  Hehe... thats uncanny!

Its got a quite basic spec to be honest... Manual, Dual climate, Single CD, Interlagos cloth (Which has really grown on me), 18" Monza II's.

But...dont care! The engine more than makes up for what She's lacking in spec.
The only thing I'd change is the single CD...may keep an eye out for a Changer or Mp3 - Friend of mine has just got a MY08 Golf which came with a Single CD, but can read MP3 discs.  Are they standard fit now?

Lovely looking car and very well polished - nice deep wet look :smug:

Don't even rise to the Ed 30 bait - standard GTI spec is GOOD.

Black is even nicer though

Enjoy
