Speedo cable gear
« on: 26 September 2007, 14:09 »
I've just bought a shiny new speedo cable from the local VW dealership to replace my broken one...

How do I swap the plastic gear that goes in the gearbox to the new cable? There's a small hole in the plastic but I can't see any grub screw or similiar, obviously doesn't unscrew do I just need to pull it mega-hard?

help me out!
Thanks a lot people

remember to reuse the circlip on the new cable (mine didnt come with one) otherwise the gear has a habbit of bailing into the gearbox if you remove it again
