My baby is for sale - help find her a new home
« on: 03 March 2004, 10:43 »
Hey guys (and girls) - now I'm 25 and insurance has dived, time to get something faster so my baby is very sadly up for sale ...

Have a read what do you think - anything I've missed ??

http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?board=10;action=display;threadid=6733

I'll be sad to see her go, but as I said i just don't have the time for engine swaps with work and a girl friend to keep! Gonna try save a bit of cash to go on top of the sale and then i'll be on the hunt.

Not sure what to go for though ... any suggestions ???

Nice looking car mate - 5k is a bit steap for my pocket at the moment

How come your selling her after getting that lush engine put in?

I think we have come to the conclusion that 5k is a bit steep for anyones pockets! Its open to offers, the engine has been in for a good while now, was a friend of my fathers before it was mine he did most of the engine mods with TSR and I did a few more when it came into my possesion. Its a pretty honkin lump though! Very Torquey! ;D

Never seen a Mk3 8v lump - looks almost identical to mine !

Goes to prove - "if it ain't broke don't fix it" - that design is almost 30 years old now !

You could buy my Mk3 16v  ;D

Definately cheaper (around ?2500 area) than Yidwann's but needs a bit of work.
