No takers for the Vredstien's then?
In the tests they performed well. but they look like cheap remoulds from a market stall.

....They didn't perform like "cheap remoulds from a market stall" when I saw them being demonstrated on the circuit at GTI Inters!

I'll wait for further reports but they are a serious contender imo.

Pirelli p-zero nero for me. Couldnt believe the improvement from the Conti 3s that were on it when i bought it so i shall be sticking with those (excuse the pun!)

Definitely with Falken 452's

On every forum I visit people can't compliment them enough

And they are VERY cheap compared to some of the other tyres mentioned whilst providing similar performance

I have never heard of these tyres before but can are they really that good? How are they grip and miles lasting wise? I assume these:

http://www.falkentyres.co.uk/product.asp?P_ID=308&strPageHistory=search&strKeywords=225/40&numPageStartPosition=1&strSearchCriteria=all&PT_ID=all

will be ok for my MK5 R32? (225/40 R18 standard on the zolders). I assume the above link for the 225/40/18 92Y FK452 are fine as the Y rating is higher than R? Many thanks for the help in advance. I was going to go for continentals as a replacement but considering checking these out now if you think they are worth it?

In all honesty couldn't tell you how they would be on the R32, but on the beemer forum all they get is praise

A friend of mine has just put these on his M3 and says it handles amazing...

Again I know of alot of people using these on 330Ds etc so I assume they would work just as well on a GTI/R32

Incredible value for money! :)

Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta will be the next boots I'm going to try, Conti's are good but apparently the Ultrac have less road noise and deal with the wet weather a bit better.

Also better on price for all the Dunlop cheapskates.

Anyone tried the Vredstein? It seemed to be a good all-rounder, good steering feel.
