what would you fit in you mk2,
i've got 4k for a new engine conv but i don't know which to have.??

16v G60 on megasquirt.  :cool:

out of your two the 1.8T, mainly for the weight and tuneability of the lump, plus its a newer design engine, so i theory at least, more reliable.

1.8t is cheaper to tune but more costly to fit and probably more costly when it goes wrong


Everyone says the vr6 is heavy but there are enough cars out there running them to know what suspension etc to run to get the most out of them, i also remember a thread somewhere (dont think it was on this forum) about the weight of the vr6 compared ot the 1.8t and i think once you took into account the intercooler and the rest of the associated parts between the 1.8t and the vr6 conversion there wasnt actually a lot in it

try joining mk2vr6.com  a lot of people on there who have dont the vr6 conversion  :cool:
