okay so i picked it up today

looking extremely good

then i drove it away from the showroom, ouch, making a very funny noise which sort of dampened it for me a bit but there you go

they're going to have a look at it next week, should be okay because i drove it last week with no probs so something must be loose but i am a bit disappointed

do any of you have any tips for me when i'm dealing with them next week?

anyway, how do you post photos here?

What sort of a funny noise....and where does it seem to be coming from?

apparently the bearing weight on the wheel or brake or something

i am not technical at all

i was so annoyed you cannot believe and to have to deal with this "computer says no attitude" is just wrong

i totally empathise with the guys dealing with the people in huddersfield as well

it's just sick

the customer works hard for their cash and simply expects to be treated with respect and to ensure the car works

after much shouting and screaming the sales manager called me this morning and he says the car will be fixed on monday but i don't really want that car now

they are saying it's a simple problem but if it is simple then why is it there?

i am seriously considering taking my money and not buying a vw, i'd even buy a ford at this rate

any advice? from anyone?

It is but im guessing the money u dished out on the R32 you prolly could have got yourself a new GTI or ED30....and there may be less chances of the problem happening....anyways dont get your hopes down, get your back on monday and take it out for a nice drive....im sure you will love it

Get the GTi danny, makes financial sense imo, goes as fast, more fun and as more agile for half the cost in running, road tax, not as many stops to the dam petrol pump, because id be expecting a fuel mpg of about 20mpg round town if your a city man, or late 20's for motorway trowling. Be prepared for a little shock in that department.
Forget the Ford idea, unless your leasing, buying it with your hard earn cash, you will lose more than half your money come trade up in say 3 years from now. They are as thirsty as the R32 is, and apart from that what else does ford offer, bugger all is the answer. Stick with VW , best thing ive ever done, apart from aftersales which in my case, ive had Fantastic service from my dealer and would recommend them to anyone, i know a few have had some bad experainces, but were can you buy these days without someone trying to fob you in one way or the other.
