none. 15s are the right size, 16s maybe if its sometheing like schmidt's or borbet A's. 17's are too big, stick with smaller wheels and a bigger drop!

thats the best mk3 ive seen..ever! its just clean and subtle..

ive had 15`s, 16`s and 17`s on my various golfs, its all down to personal taste there i think. as for wheel choice ive had both multispokes like the OZ SuperT and also 5 spokes that go all the way to the edge of the rim, both looked good and are classic styles you cant really go wrong with :)

17's would probably ruin the handling of the car after all it was designed to run on 14's, I've found with big rims they tram line horribly even with the camber and castor correctly set which makes for a nasty drive. These cars are real drivers cars and I think it's a shame to put overly big wheels on and drop them so low they become a lesser car to drive.

My opinion though and if it's what you want go for it.

yeah i found that with my 17`s, the car pulls all over the road on an uneven surface (90% of uk roads!). for my next one im going with 15" banded steels i think :)

I had 17" Lenso RS5's on my old mk2 for a while which i think looked pretty good:

Although i do agree that they where perhaps a bit too big, i did eventually change them for 15" BBS. All down to personal preference though.

17" Wheels on a MK2 look like clownshoes.

15" wheels are the way of the future. Looks / Handling / Practicality / maybe more

All in my opinion ofcourse
