that is quite excessive, have you a particular spec in mind? 'cos there seem to be a number of nearly new ED30's for sale at the moment, there is a nice grey, DSG on ebay for 21,900(ish), and a fella on here selling his for 21,500 (silver, manual with 5k) its also on ebay.!

Its crazy if you ask me. All I have asked for is a White One with iPod and Multi Function Stearing Wheel, hardly high spec.

I cant understand why its takes 8 to 12 weeks to build

You may have just missed the white colour run :undecided:
You may have just missed an ED30 spec production run :undecided:

Colours tend to be done in batches, but 8-12 weeks just for the build still seems a lot

Week 7 build and week 13 delivery. That 5 weeks was also at the time that most car manufacturers were having difficulty in getting their cars through customs smoothly.

So maybe VW are over estimating just incase there is a problem. Fingers crossed it only takes 5 weeks to build

Mine is being traded this week or next  - no reason other than fiance's car is getting past it's best, so is being traded along with the Edition 30 for a high spec 3.2 Mk2 TT Quattro in RS4 Sprint Blue. If her car was fine, there's no way the Edition 30 would be getting traded

Have been given an excellent trade in figure for the Edition 30...nearly 90% of the cost after 6 months (depreciation always hits nearly new cars :( )

Spec has helped as well - candy white, xenons, ipod, parking sensors...I get the feeling it won't hang around for long at the dealer :)
