I read a post on VWVortex about the door edges on the Golfs actually bending when you open them, if its been snowing? Apparently VW will fix it for free but how annoying must that be? You gotta remove the ice else it bends the bottom tips of the door when you open it?

That doesn't sound good!

Similarly the door seals have been known to pull off in icy conditions

What about the fact that you can never get rid of the water on the grille for at least a day afterwards?
Or the red brake calipers that no matter how much I spray I cnt get clean?

LOL

I saw that as well. I think that they changed the seal that meets the front wing and windscreen so that that ice melt is drained away else where.
The problem was that the water was going behind the front wing, down by the A pillar and building up by the door shut. So when you opened the door the door skin pealed back

My new minor irritation is the new style bottle opener!! If u place it in the cup holder position its good for nothing... and if you leave it in its place and then put anything in the lower section of the compartment it comes out!! Whats the point???
