Wouldn't your dealer know?

Only a couple of guys on the forum are from "down under", but they are better placed to know.

Hi Aldgti,

over here the 08 models have ipod adaptor as standard, 07 build can easily be retro-fitted, Oz should be same as NZ.

Hope this helps but ask your dealer (always your first port of call) to confirm.

Hey Aldgti.

My 08 has an ipod adapter that comes out of the cooling hole in the glovebox. I understand you can buy one from your local VW dealer nd they can have it fitted. I have had mine 3 weeks now and I think I have turned on the stereo maybe 3 times - I prefer to listen to the howl of the engine...

07 spec GTI's did not have ipod adapter standard, it was a $200 (I think) option.
