heater matrix?

got me a new heater matrix for the baby but the haynes manual isnt very helpful so how hard a job is it cos i dont have a scooby...

The say that the mk3 heater matrix is a direct fit and is stronger

You can do it with only removing the lower dash parts. Bit of a squeeze but possible. I did remove the glove box though which was a mission in itself!

can anyone confirm if the Mk3 matrix will fit?
           
Mk2 16v is off the road :(  Mk3 8v has taken its place :)

The dealers have superceeded the part no several time and is now the same as mk3
not sure if gsf/ eurocarparts are the same tho

it is even harder to change a matrix on a subaru!   :laugh:
