Hunting on idle
« on: 07 September 2007, 22:59 »
A car I have been given 2nd chance offer for on ebay has what they describe "hunting on idle" and sometimes cuts out if the accelerator is not covered.

Can anyone shed some light on this? Big expensive problem or fairly simple?

I know it's a bit vague but would love to hear possible causes before I go and see it (IF I do)!

Thanks, Gina.

If its a digifant 8v GTI then it sounds like a throttle switch problem, will take you 5 mins to fix :)
