Its the final countdown
« on: 06 September 2007, 15:54 »
Got a call from the slealer this morning to say my car has arrived in blighty and is being prepared for collection.
Flying down from Wick to Hull next Friday to inspect and take collection.

That will be a 22 week lead time, hope it was all worth it.

Cant wait

Take a left turn and go across to Fort William and up past Loch Ness. Now those roads are tasty

Its here and I am fecked today from a grueling 500 odd mile trip home, at least thats her half way to rum in.
I am seriously impressed with the car without having explored the upper limits of the rev range, I didnt want to be too hard on a brand new motor.
Handling is pin sharp, did notice the front was a touch bumpy on some roads, maybe tyre pressures or just a poor surface.
Only problems to date are:- Seatbelt alarm goes continually unless passengers seatbelt is fastened (even without a passenger) Trip to VW to rectify.
No bottle opener - I harassed dealer who said they would forward on????
Manuals in Dutch - Think most who buy an import has that issue, dealer said they would follow on.

Only problem now si that the bloody wife has claimed it as hers.

I'm stuck with my Subaru Legacy Outback

Weekend custody for me

Will post a few pics later

Terrible when partners fall out these days - never an outright winner in a custody battle

Glad you enjoy your new purchase. Sounds like you had a good road trip to get to know her.
