chipping

can a mk 1 gti be chipped? I assume not because they are so old. I have an 83 1800 gti, and i want to increase the power without destroying the originality of it.

any suggestions?

To chip a car you'd need an ECU to Chip.
The Mk1 doesnt have an ECU

Try a k&n panel filter, a sports exhaust, Audi 80 throttle body plus Audi 80 warm up regulator, fast road cam.
