seems a bit bouncy at front
« on: 04 September 2007, 21:24 »
getting to know my new car , really falling in love with it!!......finding it hard not to go flat out!....only minor point, my car seems a bit more bouncy than the one I tried before buying.

Remember reading on here about travel blocks on suspension, just wondering what these looked like and are they on front, rear or both! any pics anywhere?

Have checked tyre pressure's seem ok, or any other idea's which may cause this or is it me being highly critical

Thanks.

Is your motor brand new, or second hand?  If it is second hand, what is the mileage, and more importantly, was/is this recorded mileage verified by either HPI, or Vehicle Mileage Check?

What is the full spec of the important "mechanicals", ie, 17" or 18" rims, full make and type of tyre, remaining tread depth.  Also, where did you check your tyres (garage forcourt, or your own tyre pressure gauge), and did you check them when they were stone cold (first thing in the morning before driving off).

I think if the suspension blocks were left in, it would appear quite tall, and also be quite harsh, rather than bouncy.

I think the worst time to have a heart attack is during a game of charades. Especially if your teammates are bad guessers.

it's a brand new car, with sport cont's tyres and 18" monza's, have checked for travel blocks and looks like they have been removed. Do new car's suspension's take time to settle?, just an idea

What are the actual pressures you have in the tyres?
