Surely Too much!!??
« on: 03 September 2007, 22:19 »
Ok so I looked into getting my Golf GTI 1.8T remapped and I currently pay about £850 PA for insurance for October to December the 21st my insurance company Elephant wanted an extra £212 and the best quote I could get with HIC for next year was £2009 surely that is too high, yes I am only 21 but I have 3 years NCB and like I say my current 2 years NCB policy is only £850 so surely next year with 3 years NCB and the chip it should only be around £1000?

Try going onto www.moneysupermarket.com I've just got my insurance for a 1.3 1988 Golf with her indoors on the policy for £99! Alright I might have 8yrs NCB, but I've got 3 points for speeding.

And my 320D only costs £280 fully comp too.

Got to be worth a try.

Yea problem is I don't think moneysupermarket allows you to declare mods so the prices are irrelevant!!
