I promised some photos.......
« on: 03 September 2007, 20:13 »

10 days old and my face hurts from smiling. It's really the wife's car (so she thinks!) but i can't help but drive it. I also can't help buting things for it. I've taken a picture of the interior, Harmon Kardon I-pod interface (wee screen to right of dash), Road Angel, satnav courtesy of Ebay, SonyEricsson bluettoh car kit plus a multifunction wheel. It's like the Starship Enterprise in there !! Also I still think that the BBSs look better than the standard Pescaras - thanks though to Duzza for offering decent money for the Pescaras. Off to look at her......

Lovely car Athol

Those CH alloys grow on me day by day

I know what you mean about the Starship Enterprise - - every time I get out of the missis's Punto and back into mine it feels like that  I keep telling her to trade up to a new TT but unfortunately she is simply an A to B driver and doesn't appreciate the finer points in driving :embarassed:

I've never thought of trading in the missis - - although I may be tempted by VBH

Thanks all. The CHs are a stronger silver than Pescaras which I think makes them stand out more. I also like the BBS centres, they make her look like a MKII campaign for the "noughties". As for VBH, if you say so. For me she's a little bit of a minger ! Drove the new TT which is as boring as any other Audi (RS aside !), don't get one, you'll feel like you've been given a shrunken A4 and probably fall asleep at the wheel.

For any of you thinking of the VW Ipod interface, don't get it. Waste of cash. Get one of these Harmon Kardon things or another similar soltution. It revolutionizes in-car options. I use my old 20GB ipod with 18GB of music on it and she's got a wee 1GB nano so it's easy to swap over an enjoy your own tunes while you drive the B roads.

Also I moved the satnav from my old GTI to the new one and was pleased to find that the Highline Computer picked up the nav unit without reprogramming the ECU. Best £379 on Ebay ever. Love it.
