Not mechanical pumps no, they are K-Jet though (mechanical injection)

If you still need one I got a bosch one out of a running mk1 1.8 gti you can have for £20 (ex p&p) hooked it up to the probe and motor spins up.

a mk2 k-jet pump is not a straight swap since they mount in a totally different way, plus the accumulator is bolted to the side of the pump housing on a MK2 where on a MK1 its mounted seperately.

can you nt just buy a enw one? a 2nd hand one is not guaranteed for long, as its gunna be as old as your borken one?
