Hi, I did this a few weekend ago. Its one of those jobs that should be easy but can work out very different.
The biggest problems were brake carrier allen bolts and then the stub axle bolts. Take your time and use plenty of release oil. On mine nearly all were stuck and corroded. I was not pleased when I snapped a stub axle bolt head off! I had to use succesively larger drills trough the bolt until I was close to the threads then chisel at the edge until it started to break up and finally send an m10 tap down the hole to push out the remaining bolt. All good fun

Also the cover that goes between the disc and shield (191 501 639 A, £2.13 ea) needed replacing.
Be sure to keep things clean when you remove and refit the disc and bearings. You should repack the bearings with new grease and be sure not to over tighten them.
ps. I cant advise anyone to run a car without brake disc splach gaurds - especicially on the front. All it needs is something like a cv joint boot to fail and spray grease all round the wheel arch and contaminate your brakes............then you need to stop............
