Changed the water pump this weekend and at the same time fitted a new themostat and removed the bypass-valve for the copper tubing mod. Have used 3litres of the G11 type coolant (roughly 50% of total coolant capacity), and am pretty sure i have refilled without any air-locks.
Prior to this water temp used to sit on the 1/4 marker rising to 1/2 in traffic, and oil temp was usually about 100-106
Water temp is now on 1/2 way marker with little movement in traffic, and oil is about 106-112.

Any cause for concern ??
Computer games don't affect kids, I mean if Pac Man affected us as kids, we'd all be running around in darkened rooms, munching pills and listening to repetitive music.

Every golf that i have had sits at around half way on the temp gauge pretty much 100% of the time. Oil once warmed up can be anything upto 106, but normally around 96.

They've all been on 8v's.
