RR is correct, the UK V-Power is 99RON.

The BP Ultimate stuff also seems to vary between countries.  In the UK, it is only 97RON, but in Germany, the Aral Ultimate is 100RON - don't worry, BP and Aral are the same company!  :nerd:

In europe we have Unleaded and 'Super Unleaded' the later having a higher RON value which helps keep your engine clean and also reduces wear. VW actually recommend you use a 98 RON or higher fuel which falls in the 'super unleaded' catagory.

Duzza, just to be really pedantic  - there are three European standards for unleaded:
  • normal "Unleaded" at 91 RON - but we don't get that in the UK
  • "Premium Unleaded" at 95 RON - the standard UK brew
  • and "Super Unleaded" which should be 98 RON or over - but in the UK we get a lesser quality of 97 RON

I really wonder if that V-power petrol is better than any other 98 RON... We know that oil companies like to collude on pricing etc. Why would not they lie about the contents of the fuel, who's checking them? It may all be just advertising to charge higher price for the god ole 98.  :undecided:
