I use  an alloy wheel spray and work it in with a paint brush - you can get in all the nooks and crannies and work it all in pretty well. Then just rinse off with loads of water.

However, I do normally end up giving them a good rub with a cloth afterwards to make sure I haven't missed anything!!! Not sure my advice has helped really!!!  :undecided:

if its  a daily driver - sell the bbs and buy something easier to clean

I had RMs for a few months, the looked the dogs when clean, but that was only the once as it was too much bother to clean them!

yeh its a daily driver, used to have the standard steels on it, but got the bbs' reasonably cheap. i like the look of them, but they are just a nightmare to keep clean

have you applied a wheel sealant to them? Something like Poorboys Wheel Sealant will help keep the brake dust to a minimum and make them far easier to clean

totally agre, brake dust barrier from turtle way is suprisingally good, as long as you clean and use it regular...ie once a week or so, and you really need a jet washer and some alloy cleaner, so much easier.
