Early 8v water temp sender
« on: 25 February 2004, 14:02 »
Had to replace my water temp sender recently - black one pin. Seems to be used in lots of applications. Aftermarket cost ?4, VAG ?23, no contest. However, aftermarket version reads very high but engine not overheating. Is the quality of aftermarket senders flaky ? Or have I been given the wrong part ?    ???

Used to see a lot of problems with after market senders on Fords making the guage read high, prob the wrong resistance for your guage. Best get the right one as your engine may depend on it.
