2.3ltr V5 was initially 150bhp and then made up to 170bhp in the MKIV. In the MKV the 2.0 FSI engine has 150bhp and is more economical. Similarly the 1.4TSI and 2.0TDI are available at 170bhp and are also much more econimical. 2.0T FSI in the MKV is much more powerful, lighter and more economical.

It is all a matter of progress :nerd:

I wanna replace the sparks on my V5 170 bhp. Someone told me to use Bosch Super 4 sparks but I dont seem to be able to find a supplier that offers the appropriate sparks. Any advise would be much appreciated!!! :-)

It's an in-line engine, not a V5. It's a torquey under-stressed US friendly engine putting out 170lbft/150bhp. Nothing special and drinks petrol but meets the demands of the unsophisticated American mainstream market. They sound quite good with an aftermarket exhaust though.

The basic engine architecture was the starting point for the Audi TT-RS motor, which is special.

4motion version came with a 2.8 V6 but you could also get the V5 in 4mo.
