Air Filter....

Was browsing around the Oettinger website (how ever you spell it) and i find this very eye catching air filter/cold air induction kit. Any one know anything about these and if possible how i could get my hands on one (remember im not from the UK) andd....any one fitted or tried fitting an air filter...how does it feel :)

Sorry. maybe I'm stupid. But does a air filter not just make a car sound different and make it go a tiny bit faster? Didnt know you were feeling anythin? :embarassed:

IMHO it makes sense only together with a free-flow exhaust.

BTW, RedRobin has fitted Carbonio intake and did not see much difference, as far as I remember.

The whole how does it feel was abit random lol, was listening to a song which has the quote "How does it feel" so i was like ahhh lol how does it feel to have the Air Filter xD

I know that the coloureds (no offfence) around here fit air filters and their GTI's sound like Lambos on steroids :tongue:

I wouldnt mind, id have it on for a while, see how it is, if i dont like it get rid of it i guess lol

I fitted the Carbonio intake, which is the same as the Oettinger one i think. You won't notice an outright power increase, but it did help the turbo spool up lower in the rev range. Mine is an ED30, and wheni first got it, i noticed it to be quite laggy. The filter helped imo.

K1, where did you get yours from how much? does it "sounds" any better? i do think i feel lag with the turbo on my e30, doesnt kickin till late alot of the time
whats better just the intake or a whole induction kit?

I really liked the looks of the one on the Oettinger website but how can i get my hands on one  :huh:
