Auto headlights

Same here too, and I previously had an early Mk5 GT TDi, guess what?  exactly the same problem with both the lights and wipers, they have a mind of there own, couldn't get the stealer to fix them then, so not even tried with the GTI, just gone back to old fashioned use of the switch and lever, never fails to work   

Also got a 5 series BM and both the lights and wipers have worked in auto perfectly for the last 5 years, so it's simply VAG have not developed their system correctly, suggest they raid the Beamer parts bin.

My wipers are perfect - much more responsive than any of my Beemers.

With regard to the auto headlights I generally just turn them off as they do my head in! Mostly its the 'over 70mph' that gets on my nerves though, whats the point in that?

yeah in fairness the wipers are spot on! just the autolights that are

Auto headlights are dangerous. I have had mine come on when I've driven under a bridge in broad daylight and it looks like I'm flashing a driver to enter the road from a junction. Nearly sparked a crash and road rage incident 

Always have auto headlights turned off now.   How do you turn the 'lights on when unlocking car in the dark' feature.  That really pisses me off.

you can do it through the highline comp.
