gearbox 1.1l golf/polo the same? -75

Hi ppl

I got a 1975 golf L that i just baught with a noisy transmission,and im looking for a new gearbox 4speed.
Do anyone know if the polo gearbox is a fit in the golf,as i found a polo(-81)gearbox but none from a golf..

I checked clutch numbers on polos and golfs and they are the same.
