  looks really nice.  I was worried that I might go off it at some point and be stuck with it but every time I saw a white GTI, I thought 'I really should have chosen white... black is so common...'  
































Then yesterday I saw another white GTI and thought, 'damn, that looks really nasty...' and so my love affair with white lasted about 7 weeks (since I saw that white GTI and that crazy W12 GTI at GTI International) and I'm glad I listened to my head that told me 'this new preference for white won't last' and not my heart which said' get on that bl00dy phone and ring the stealer right NOW'.  Sorry pesharik et al but black really is best.

Welcome fellow brotherin!!  You've chosen the right colour don't worry.  I bet the last edition 30 you had is still ringing in your mind - just remember how stunning that looked!  Although white looks the biz in gtis, it is the same colour as most (if not all) transits on the road today.  Imagine if someone called your car a transit!!

No offence to anyone with white gtis though, as i have said before, the shape and design of the gti allows it to look mean in any colour.

Black is not only the safe colour, it is also the best.  White may look amazing, but its not safe - on the gti, you would cause too many accidents and it increases your chances of having one as well!!!

I ment to say CONSERVATIVE color, BLEND-IN color, I'M-LIKE-EVERYONE-ELSE color. 

Don't get upset, black GTIs look fabulous, it's just that I'm a militant white-Ed30-ist.

Black is better,infact any car with paint is worth more    . Because ask any dealer ,white cars have a much poorer resale value, dealers dont offer you as good a trade in, and thats a fact, but doesnt take away from the fact it looks good.

Resale value on white cars is rock bottom.
White paint is pain in the bum because every little scratch is visible.

Looks like transit?? If you look around for new car ads - Porsche, MB, Saab... - cars are in white.

I did not go with my head, I went with my heart. My head told me "black".  But the sense of style prevailed.

White GTI looks nasty, due to black plastic parts sticking out like on a transport van.
Not so with Ed30.

Em, isn't really a case of getting the colour that you like most, rather than worrying about what other people think looks best..?  I got an Ed30 for myself, not for anyone esle..
