Congrats Illyun.

Great news......what colour are you going for this time? White?

I did hear something about a white one  though I liked your black a lot too.
Post piccies when you get it please.

Correction-

I liked your black Ed30 too

and I was getting worried there...

So black it is. You planning on doing any mods? Bigger rims? Bluefin?

I will probably take off the Pescaras and get 19" BBS rims - not sure which ones... I'll keep the Pescaras for shows - to keep the car original.  Stonechip protection is the first thing that will go on... and I'll get it revo'd after 10k miles which should take me too long to do.  I was going to hold out until the warranty expired but I can't wait for 3 years.  Thinking about the Forge Diverter Valve but I have heard the Ed30 one is just as good. I might get it dynmatted as the 19" rims will increase road noise - it will add weight to the car but hey, who cares when its turning out 300+bhp   Thats about it really... Like to keep my cars original

i meant to post the other day illyun, there was a guy on ebay 'selling' an edition 30 for around 5k (obvious scam), but using all your photos of your old ed30, and was displaying your private plate, sorry a bit off topic but I just remembered.....

I ordered black, but then changed my mind and wanted white but it was too late to amend the order...

It was therefore ordained

Black is best :smug:

I know...   its been done several times now including on autotrader... just getting tired of it.

And thats another 'mod' going onto my Edition 30 - the number plate 'E30 VW' (should actually read E3 0VW).  But this time I'll wait till Feb 08 and bask in the glory of a new reg...

Black is not only the safe colour, it is also the best.  White may look amazing, but its not safe - on the gti, you would cause too many accidents and it increases your chances of having one as well!!!

I know, I know, white Ed30 is so good looking that it causes accidents. I have to live in the shadow of it's beauty, but I am managing it so far. One should not blame beauty, I mean, tall, long-legged, well-shaped, looong-dark-haired young women in short skirts probably cause more accidents, but would you forbid them walking around the streets? of course not! If anything, you would want to see more of these women around!

I ment to say CONSERVATIVE color, BLEND-IN color, I'M-LIKE-EVERYONE-ELSE color.

Don't get upset, black GTIs look fabulous, it's just that I'm a militant white-Ed30-ist.  :nerd:

White stands out, wouldn't you agree?
