it is still declared as original gti on log book, never got round to changing it. I have told my insurance about it and it is £162 a yr on classic insurance. Reserve is set at £4600, it would cost about £3-4k to have a conversion done, let alone wheels and electric recaros and the car is mint. cheers jonny i would accept a nice trade in if you have anything, mk1 golf or caddy truck.
hiya, nearly everything has been changed, new brakes, bearings, cv boots. most things that can go wrong. best to come and have a look. it is still 1800 cc on the log book. cheers jonny

Its all well and good being declared as original GTI in the log book, but should the worst happen and you get in a major accident and they find a 1.8T under the bonet, your in the sh!t big time!
