USB armrest problems?
« on: 15 August 2007, 21:48 »
Has anyone had any problems with the USB armrest ( or I-pod connetion as a matter of fact). Mine keeps dropping out and showing "no CD" on screen. The dealer has replaced the HU, cable and USB connector in the armrest ( the car has been in on five occasions to date for this, once for two days).
Just getting annoyed with the lack of progress at the moment.

Got DVD Sat Nav and iPod option - no problems with that at all. Know this may not help, but factory fit on this is good.

I've got the ipod connector in the armrest and so far had no problems. Hope this isn't a stupid question but is it possible there is a problem with your mp3 player/ipod?

I had no problems with the VW IPOD. It worked ok - apart from the obvious, that it didn't work how VW told me it would when they sold it to me.

Brand new USB flash drive of a brand that VW promote in the manual. The Senior Technician at the dealership tried his and had the same problem, it also logged an error code.

I have the factory fit ipod connection and every so often I get "no CD", and I have to turn the stereo on and off again, or pull the ipod out and plug it back in again.  I just thought it one of those things!
