cutting out when first started
« on: 24 February 2004, 01:35 »
Hi I was just wondering if anyone else had experienced a problem like this.  When I start the car she fires up and runs for a few seconds before cutting out.  It doesn't matter how much you press the accelerator she still cuts out.  I have to start her up like 3 or 4 times before she will kick into life and and carry on ticking over.  This only happens from a cold start
Any ideas?
thx

hard starting......leaking injectors......try some fuel system treatment.....like slick 50......this will remove carbon from the injectors..... or so will an ''italian tune up'' which requires keeping the revs at 4 to 5000 rpm for a few mins which is best done by putting it in 3rd on a duel carrageway......burns carbon off valves .......just make sure your oil level is ok and the engine is hot before doing this.......
