I get a few people having a go when I'm booting it, fair enough.

I was in Devon visiting the inlaws and decided to start early back to Surrey, I put my cap on to save time not mincing with the mop.

Jeez! all the 'boy Racers' were having a go, nobody would get out of the way, and most tried hard to not let me overtake too easily.

The 16v copes well, but a red GTi and cap combo, just seems to rub people up the wrong when youre booting it home.

they never made a mk 4 16v so i take is as the mk 5 escort cossie shape.
there normaly 1.6 16v or 1.8 16v

the 1.6 have 96 bhp
the 1.8 have 105 bhp unlike the old 1.6 xr3i which were 105 bhp.

the xr3i version of the mk 5 were 1.8 16v engine with either 105 or 130 bhp. the newer mk 6 escort gti with made in 1997 are 118 bhp....

since making the rs turbos ford has lost the plot.......
then again so has most manufacturers including vw
2.0 golf 115bhp but the 1.8 has 125 bhp......?

the more i see the mk 5 golf the more i like it just a shame the engines are lower bhp than the mk 4.....
doesnt matter that much as newer sps reprograming can add 62 bhp!

Overseer - yeah 303 mate, have to wait for the dual carriagways to floor it. The old 16v does well, but it doesnt help if dads in there MPVs dont like the look of you.

As for the Escorts, well whatever they were, they couldnt keep up
