Yeah but sometimes its the other way around, your'll get some n0b sat in the fast lane in there big car  not overtaking anything, but because there car cost £40,000 and they are doing 70 its ok. God they do my head in.

Fcuk that  Undertake 'em Flick 'em the finger then stomp on the go pedal.

Exactly... I do 300 miles commute a day and can't stand it when some t055er thinks their dad built the motorway and decideds to overtake on the outside lane at 60mph... worst culrpits are vans.

Thats my preferred solution if I think the guy in front is taking the p155.  Its even more fun as I drive my Mk2 16v and the look on their faces when they can't keep up 'with a tatty old Golf' is priceless.

Totally agree, I'm the first to flash if they are just sat there with loads of room in the other lane..... it's when there is NOWHERE to go and the fact that I should move over, slow down behind a slower car, then pull back out behind them! See I'm still angry!!

In the case you describe, I'd let them continue, but if they could pull but then decide not to because there is a car 100 metres ahead that they want to overtake - and so decide to stay in the outside lane and snail's pace, that REALLY peeves me - and then I do the Mk2 16v manouvere on the inside lane and boy does it shift after 4k rpm

I did that myself last night to a complete tool in a 1.2 Polo who wouldn't yield when I flashed him then decided it would be funny to flash the brake lights at me. I undertook him with the middle finger on display and he was furious going by his body language as I looked in the rear view mirror.   Unfortunatley I got stuck at some lights a couple of miles later and he came up behind me , still irate , jumped out of the car , approached my car  and stood shouting at me at the drivers side window.  I couldn't hear a word as I had Interpol on loud and just smiled at him.  At this point it occurred that the bell end was going to leave a massive dent in the drivers side door as the veins were now bulging out of his forehead and I could sense his blood pressure was on the verge of giving him a stroke. Thankfully the lights turned green and I screeched away, pausing slightly to give him Winston Churchill victory salute, which made him even angrier.

A classic example of why you shouldn't give them the "bird" unless you are prepared to deal with the fall out.  You never know who is in the car in front and sometimes it just isn't worth the hassle.  Personally I just remain calm, after all, it's only driving and life is too sort.

Still, if you insist on hand gestures then I can recommend this for the inevitable fallout: http://www.krav-maga.org.uk/ - works for me.

Mk 5 GTi, Tornado Red, Leather, Xenons, 18" Monza II's, Sunroof, 6CD in Armrest, Winter pack & Tinted Windows... soon to be adding ED30 front spoiler, plus R32 sideskirts... then getting fully colour coded!
New engine fitted when car was at 27k... last one went "noisey".

There is no rivalry!! Ed30 wins EVERY time!!!
I think both cars GTI & ED30 are the nuts! Please though bring some perspective to the above argument, ED30 v GTI, sorry to say if you're talking DSG 5 door ED30 v GTI standard there is only 0.3 secs between them in sprint times! blink and you'll miss it! They are both fantastic cars and very capable, both can be tuned to in excess of 300bhp and both will woop many other cars. enough said!

Agreed...  and they are both GTI's and therefore equal.  Having said that of course, as George Orwell might have commented, some cars are more equal than others.
