Hi
I've had Revo for 5 days now and I love it!...But its not enough now .. I must have more ...
Looking on the Revo site they do a Stage 2 map to compliment a performance filter and exhaust. In theory I currently have 255bhp/285ft-lbs. It states with the stage 2, exhaust & filter I could be pushing upto another 15% which would be 292bhp/327ft-lbs (I wont go all shy when I see an ed30 then  )

Can anyone tell me if this is a load of hype or quite realistic
Has anyone had any experience with having a Milltek and dealer warranty, do they have a problem with it?
Has anyone had the above done?

Thanks

Can't personally comment on the remaps, but the Milltek, especially if it is cat-back, are generally accepted as having no detrimental effect on the warranty.

Extremely unlikely for a Milltek to affect warranty. Those Revo figures are a tad optimistic but a Hi-flow+Downpipe Milltek exhaust coupled with air intake mods etc will complement a remap and add power. Without a remap the Milltek will only add about 5 bhp maximum. Throttle response is noticeably improved too.

I have a Hi-Flow+Downpipe Milltek plus Carbonio air intake plus Neuspeed turbo discharge and charge pipes plus Forge DV etc etc with Revo Stage1 and for road use I simply don't feel the need for Stage2 even though it would only cost me £50 to upgrade. Stage2 is said to be more aggressive.

I plan to get this done soon-ish... so you reckon an extra 5BHP gain?  TBH I am happy with the power of the Golf but I really am keen to improve it's breathing to squeeze every last drop out of the engine... plus I like the sound of the Milltek's... although not sure if I heard resonated or non-resonated....

I have a Hi-Flow+Downpipe Milltek plus Carbonio air intake
Mk 5 GTi, Tornado Red, Leather, Xenons, 18" Monza II's, Sunroof, 6CD in Armrest, Winter pack & Tinted Windows... soon to be adding ED30 front spoiler, plus R32 sideskirts... then getting fully colour coded!
New engine fitted when car was at 27k... last one went "noisey".

....5 bhp absolute max and not guaranteed but exhaust efficiency and fine music guaranteed. Not a big difference between Non-Resonated and Resonated - Both quite subtle but the sound matures with mileage. The car is still quiet at low revs through town etc.

Sounds like I probably won't have a problem with warranty so I might just get the Hi Flow Cat/downpipe.
After checking with Revo, the 15% increase in power with stage 2 is 15% of the increase (55bhp), not 15% of the total (255bhp) as I said earlier. So I guess with a filter, Milltek and stage 2 you would be looking at around 270bhp

RedRobin, I'm also thinking of the Neuspeed turbo discharge adapter/pipe. What difference did you find with this fitted, did you feel any increase in power?

TT, as you know all  do you know the reason why their is a small restrictive chamber placed on the discharge side of the turbo and not a straight flow path like the Neuspeed or Oettinger adapter?

....Correct. A ram style air intake (with aftermarket flat panel filter in stock box) would be more efficient than just a change of filter. ITG filters considered among the best.

....I had both Neuspeed Discharge and Charge pipes together with SAMCO silicon hose connections and Forge DV all installed in the same session. There's always a placebo effect and it's tricky to assess exactly what the differences are but throttle response is totally instant and the car responds and revs very freely. I haven't dyno'd her since to see if any power increase but the torque is impressive. I don't need to use as high revs as I did before. Subtle and very enjoyable increase in turbo spool sound on lifting off throttle. The Forge DV is reputed to hold boost longer but who knows?

Sorry, can't help you.  Though it could be the integrated diverter valve, as opposed to the remote diverter valve on the Ed30 and S3.

The OEM inlet is a ram style feed.  It also uses bypass technology too!

Nice Capri on the other ramp!

I wondered how long it would take someone to comment on that Capri

My mistake - I meant to write an aftermarket ram intake, such as Carbonio.
