Hi to all you Golf fans
Just joined, got a mark 1 golf with 2.0 8v tall block bottom end, ported head, ported and flowed inlet manifold (TSR) competition exhaust, sports gear linkages, 16v gearbox, 16v rear disc conversion, black diamond discs and pads on front, top adjustable shocks, lowered by 30mm. Back seats removed, some cosmetic updating (ie no rear wiper, smooth rear bootlid, single wiper conversion, bucket seats etc).
Only just had the 2.0 block put in, can't believe how fast it goes. Putting out about 155bhp, but the torque is what amazed me....
Anyone got any views re what to do next..... I'm considering either an uprated cam and a pack D head (when I can afford it), maybe a LSD as I can't really boot it at low revs as the wheels just light up, but thats all part of the fun....
Always used to drive VR6s, but will never go back now, my wee mk1 is more than a match for any un-modded VR6, and the handling is soooo much better.....
