150 to 200BHP TDI Mk4
« on: 20 February 2003, 10:32 »
8)

I was just wondering what upgrades are available to increase to bhp on my Golf (Mk4 TDI 150).  I understand that it can be modified quite easily but am unsure of the performance impact vs MPG and additional wear on engine and components.

I also presume it will void the VW warrenty?

Any advice would be appreciated.

There are a few variations on the mk4 TDI engine: 100bhp, 130 and 150 are all currently available. All can be nicely tweaked for a few more bhp as well...

Would love to get some feedback on the 150bhp GTi TDI as I am looking to get one as next company car.

The TDI 150bhp is an amazing car, I have had mine for six months now and I am well impressed with it, it shows it's true power when accelerating uphill this is due to the fact that it has more lb/ft of torque than most Porsches.
A friend has the same car which has been chipped to just over 200bhp and five months on has had no problems as a result.

Anyone know where I can get a rear ankle for an Anivarsary 2002 GTI TDI as mine is bent and won't get through its MOT in two months time.
Thanks.
