8 valve non-start.

 ;) have had trouble starting my '88 8 valve k-jet last night..............it kept turning over and not firing (have recently serviced it with all the usual bits replaced) and had to go to work in a Volvo 340!!!!!!!!! tried her agin today and for some reason i disconected the electric plug to the cold start injector and away she went..............do i need a new thermotime switch?? have also noticed that she is difficult to start sometimes when hot. thanks folks  ???

Poss leaking injectors, they dribble fuel into the inlet ports when the engine is off. When you try to start the engine, the cold start injector fires in more fuel and its too rich to start. Lots of people disconect the cold start injector as a temporary fix.

^^^^^Steve is spot on there, you may have leaky injectors. Try keeping the cold start injector unplugged and see how you get on.

try some fuel system treatment like slick 50 this will clean the injectors which may be carboned up....
