Rear Headrest

Has anybody done a rear headrest conversion on their mk3 yet?  I have a '95 2.0 8V with none as standard and am interested in seeing if its possible?

I have often thought how good it would be to have rear headrests in my Gti. my bloody dad had them in his Mk3 GL Tdi !!!
Short of whipping the back seats out of a dead VR6 or GL with the same fabric pattern (rare), I cannot think of an easy way to do this as the innner frame of the seats is different.
Would be interested to hear if there is a way.....
Mk4 PD150, Jazz Blue, nice! Puts my old Mk3 Gti to shame

not a bad price either - 150 notes fully fitted.  However, im in the south west and this chap is up near Bradford by the looks of it.  I'd definatly go for it if it was closer.   :-\

Yeah Ive done it my mk3, just bought the brakets and plates from the my local dealer which cost about ?30, I then took the rear bench out. Got the material off (Just clips off) then fitted the plates. put everything back together and and the carefully with a sharp knife cut a hole where the holes in the padding are and put the brakets in. I then waited until someone on ebay was selling either some Golf GL or vr6 interior came up for sale. luckly a full black GL interior came up and he couldnt sell it so I e-mailed him and asked if I could buy just the rear headrests, he agreed and sent them me for ?20. Im just after some black material for one of the headrests (already had some black material for the other) now to match the GTI interior. very easy to fit any questions just ask....

cheers, that'd be great.

Just like to see how it looks from the rear of the car - i.e.  as though I was driving behind you.
