Lead Filler

Talk to someone this morning, and we were talking about my car and the body work I was doing. He mentioned that I should get my panel beater to use lead filler on the car. Although it's heavier, it's supposed to be way better for mk2's, I presume this would be because it's stronger?

Anyone know anything about this stuff or have you/you panel beater used it before?

never had it used but it is the best type of filler.

Its better because it a hot fusion of metals and therefore wont flake or break beacuse lead is pliable.
Its how filling was done in the traditional way befoer resins and fillers were produced.

A true classic car restoration would only use lead filling.

Excellent stuff, I'll be making sure that this is used on my car so, will be dropping it to the panel beater tonight to start the work!
