Highest mileage diesel ??

What's the highest mileage you had ever heard of for a vw diesel on the same engine ?
( saw a Golf GT TDI for sale today with 220k )

when i bought mine i saw a bora tdi not sure if it was a 110 or 130 but it had 180k on the clock, and that was 2 years ago! i bet it's still going strong.

mines got 90k on clock now...

a mechanic i knew had a customer dump his audi t sport there with a blow engine on a r plate 225k,
i had a civic esi on same engine but burnt lots of oil done 172k, not had a car die though yet in my possetion at high milage
not had any diesels yet at high milage
seen lots of rovers 400 600 with 160-180k etc i knew
iknow the tdi 90 110 in various german cars does huge milages

Slick's barge is currently on 176k and still clattering about. At about a million to the gallon. Jammy twit.

Not a dub, an not a car, but weve got a '83 Merc Tractor unit in our yard with 625k on! hasnt moved since '96 though

My mk4 GT-TDI has  88k 
My mk3 TDI has  186k ....(slowly falling to bits)
My Mk3 1.8 74bhp has 220k ... petrol is winning so far  :smug:
