headlight switch not lighting up fully

headlight switch not fully iluminates now, the twist knob does but the rest dont, i have had it out today and had it unplugged from its connector so i could wire a dummy alarm led up,

anyone had a similar prob, it was working when i put it back in, im sure it was, just noticed now on way home in dark

help someone, i do however have a new switch on its way with the foglight setting, but still wanna get this sorted

are u sure its not the dimmer switch turned down, its happened to me before :tongue:

found the fault

their is a bulb, its a twit to get to but that has blown, not gonna replace it as i have a whole new switch on its way for the fogs iv got, but at least i know now as it was doing my head in, its a similar bulb to the ashtray one, VAG only part, my ashtray one cost £3.08 so i guess this would be of silimar price
