See a dirty GTI? It's me
« on: 26 July 2007, 11:00 »
In case anyone sees a black 5 door GTI that looks filthy and uncared for... it is probably me in Cheltenham.

A combination of driving through flood water and no mains water for miles around means it looks dreadful

I even left it outside in the rain today, best wash it has had since I bought it

But seriously, this is of course hugely insignificant compared to the hundreds (thousands?) of people locally and further afield who have flooded homes.

By the way, any firemen out there - your collegues have been outstanding here especially in maintaining electric supplies. From pictures I saw it was rather like putting a toaster in your bath and then slowly filling it with water, then building defences out of lego and plastic bags before it get wet. They saved a major problem.
